#1. About Beeg
Prepare your balls and hearts for changes. Beeg is the most minimalistic, basic porn site that has ever existed. A random dude launched it in 2000 with a simple goal: keep it simple, stupid. You’ll either love or hate it; most of us couldn’t understand the appeal.
#2. First Impressions
We know quite a few free tube sites that have a stripped-down and simple design, but none do it like Beeg.com. You can find lots of videos from major porn studios here and watch them in the playback quality of your choice. Niches include straight and lesbian, with no gay and virtually no shemale content.
As mentioned above, Beeg has a minimalistic layout, so you'll be greeted with a front page with tags, a cam section, a home button, and a search. Other than that, there are porn videos sorted by date with no borders, even titles. What you see is what you get with thumbs. There used to be a short description that appeared when you hovered over for a preview, but that has since vanished. Next time we visit the Beeg site, it won’t even have videos, just a blank page. The fine line of minimalism has been crossed to the wrong site, I feel.
#3. Content & User Experience
As with any site of this type, it's hard to pinpoint the exact number of content available, but there are more than 90 pages to flip through, and each one has a few hundred scenes. Video quality can be adjusted and ranges from 240p up to a stunning 1080p. Newer videos tend to offer Full HD playback, but when you go further back, the quality goes from great to trash. I want to reiterate the “stunning” quality of 1080p videos because Beeg, despite its flaws, hosts some of the highest-quality free videos that aren’t far off from the real deal. For example, the recently reviewed PornTube have had a 1080p option, but the quality was more like 720p.
Streaming was decent, but how it loaded additional thumbs was full issues, aka slow. Maybe large files are to blame for slower stream times? If that’s the case, this is an issue I’m fine with, and I prefer it that way. Lastly, users can even download videos without having to sign up.
Regarding user experience, looking past the minimalistic point, Beeg had just a few ads on the site. One is beside the video player, a pop-up that appears once you pause your video and a link that leads you to the content source. Thankfully, no hidden JavaScript ads open in the background time or reload your browser. The video player is fine, albeit I sometimes had trouble registering my clicks to adjust scene volume. An interactive seek bar displays large thumbnails on the top of a video, so it’s easy to “watch” the movie without committing to it. It’s on a better side. Beeg would’ve been an incredible site, one of the greatest if it wasn’t for the controversial design. It’s a limiting factor and the cause of confusion. Maybe other people remember videos by their thumbnails, but many of us need some text, too, to indulge our senses and make our brains work.

Beeg is a true gem if you're looking for no distractions. It has up to 1080p playback through a sleek and minimalistic layout and thousands of videos from major studios. Just don't expect much (if any) content that is not straight porn.
