Quick Navigation
#1. About Boodigo
You might have heard of adult-oriented search engines by now, but Boodigo.com is slightly different. In addition to being able to search the web, you can also search Tumblr, Blogspot, and Clips4Sale. Although Tumblr no longer hosts porn, the search doesn’t stop there. Boodigo, a website, was founded in 2004, although it has only been serving encrypted searches since 2015.
#2. First Impressions
Can you have a simpler design than that of Boodigo? There’s a simple search box with a yellow logo, and that’s it. Start searching, and then it starts to get disappointing. The results remind me of the old AOL days or even Google Search from the early 2000s. Except on the right, you have annoying ads and queries that don’t solve your adult search desires. Well, that’s my experience and first impression, but you should try it yourself.
The loading speeds are fine, and that’s the only redeeming quality, as far as I can tell. I would invest a decent amount of cash into something other than encryption because if your main selling point is that, then it’s a loss/loss situation. Every porn search engine, from NudeVista to TubeGalore uses HTTPS encryption, which eliminates the main selling point, except that other aggregators aren’t as awful as Boodigo.
#3. Content & User Experience
Before you hit enter and get results, Boodigo lets you turn on query string encryption so that you don't have to worry about someone digging through your browser history. You can also choose whether to see results from the web or the three other sites available (Tumblr, Blogspot, Clips4Sale). We tried a few things and noticed that web results have a few sponsored links but generally return decent results, even though you don't always get a direct link to the content. The same could be said about Clips4Sale, while Blogspot and Tumblr searches gave better results.
Boodigo.com is a no-thrills website. It's stripped down and simple. But this means that you also don't have any added features. Once you enter a search string, you can flip through pages with limited pagination or search for everything instead of searching through one of the four main options. There are also about half a dozen banners and some text links to other sites.
Boodigo.com might not be the most powerful search engine for porn, but it does let users search through sites like Tumblr and Blogspot with relative ease while offering satisfactory results. Choose another site from our list if you need more features and options.
#4. Conclusion
So, how do I feel about Boodigo? It’s as if everyone has jumped the shark and is all about “privacy” these days. I’m not saying it isn’t nice, but for some reason, it feels like a fad that some companies are trying to use and enter the business. Thankfully, Boodigo offers decent functionality, and in the end, the motives don’t matter if the end user is served correctly. My advice? Try other alternatives first.
