#1. About CougarLife
As you’ll guess by its name, CougarLife is dating agency for older (35+) women who want to date men (or women) of the same age or for horny studs that seek nothing but mature ladies. If the name sounds shady, you should be relieved that it’s owned by one of the largest Canadian dating companies (Ashley Madison), giving CougarLife, a new player in town, much-needed legitimacy. Mainly because a lot of new dating sites suck and are there to take your money while using bots, nothing else.
#2. First Impressions
The homepage of CougarLife is nearly identical to that of Ashley Madison, which makes sense. However, you’ll quickly learn that dating cougars is out of the question unless you have an iPhone or use a PC. Since they utilize the same user interface as Ashley Madison, I wonder why they didn’t just rebrand their apps and release them for all popular mobile operating systems. Maybe they’re working on it? Assuming you haven’t ditched the site yet because of no Android app support, you’ll soon need to figure out whether to go for a desktop or mobile version.
I don’t know if it’s a positive, but CougarLife stands by its name and doesn’t even “allow” hosting or searching for women younger than 35. I guess someone a year younger could always lie, but it’s still interesting to see every profile of a mature woman. Also, unlike Ashley Madison, CougarLife doesn’t boast about having an affair, which means some females are interested not only in one-night stands but in serious relationships, too. Still, like its sister site, CougarLife loves to do guerilla marketing campaigns that, while attracting people, might leave some people’s mouths sour.
#3. Content & User Experience
Depending on your financial situation, Cougar Life will offer either a decent or poor user experience, as it all comes down to credits that users spend everywhere. I mean, men do because females get most, if not all, features for free. Is this sexism or just a sad reality of demand versus supply? There is no need to answer that, but here are the three different packages that Cougar Life can choose from, with annual being the most cost-effective.
- 3000 credits (yearly membership, $12 / month)
- 500 credits (three-month membership, $29 / month)
- 100 credits (monthly membership, $40 / month)
Next, you’ll likely upload your pictures and proceed to search for the hottest MILFs in your area. CougarLife users have filters to narrow down women by their location, age, spoken languages, ethnicity, body type, and how far away they are, and then utilize additional checkboxes. For example, you may choose to list cougars who are online, have private photos, are online for chat, or are available for a date tonight (yes, there’s an option for that). However, if you want to view their private pictures, get ready to spend some credits since chatting costs money. Also, it’s not like you buy explicit images for money either because every CougarLife member must permit you to view their private photos first.
You’re likely scrolled down this much to receive an answer to the oldest question in the book, and it’s about fake profiles. How many of them are there? Is it a growing site or a sham? CougarLife spends money to advertise online and offline, and the profiles that I’ve scanned don’t appear to be from escort agencies or shady porn sites. Does it mean that CougarLife doesn’t have any beautiful women? Obviously, the answer is negative, but I like real people with genuine profiles. Having nothing but the hottest MILFs that answer only to advertise their SnapChat or beg for financial support is now how I like to spend my afternoons. Anyhow, the old saying about not spending money on obvious fake or “too good to be true” chats still applies on CougarLife, just like everywhere else.
#4. Conclusion
CougarLife is a fast-growing, large industry player supported cougar dating site with a lot of potential. Currently, most profiles are from the English speaking countries, so Europeans from smaller countries might need to look somewhere, but everyone else is encouraged to give them a try.
