Gelbooru is a free image site that explores hundreds of different and unconventional fetishes or kinks with various GIFs and images. It’s not a mainstream porn library, by the way. Gelbooru looks like an outdated search engine that has nothing going for it. First-time users won’t even learn about its secrets unless they type a random phrase into the search bar. So it’s tough to tell whether this affects Gelbooru and new visitors' bounce rate, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some correlation. We, too, wouldn’t have surfed past the index page without the review. It just didn’t offer anything.
As you travel past the search bar, the endless possibilities and a somewhat confusing layout greet you with a wide smile. It’s like entering a store full of candies, except that it’s the size of the universe. You get this “lost” feeling that is not exactly a bad thing, but yeah, time to play games or watch some hentai porn!

Overall, it is a simple layout and is straightforward to use once you get the hang of it, and there aren't many ads.
The funniest thing, at least for me, was the merchandise that Gelbooru offers. Who in the sane world would even wear a t-shirt made with the logo of an anime porn site? Maybe as a joke, sure, but for real? That’s just weird, man. I might understand if it was a PornHub Premium or some other “big and known” adult site, but hentai? There’s still a stupid stigma in society, and exposing that even more… I don’t know; if it works, then I’m all for it since there’s no shame in jerking off to hentai.
By the way, speaking of Gelbooru and art, I’ve found a lot of junk. Sure, the millions of pictures sound awesome, but it has always been a dream of mine to browse pages that focus on quality. This can be seen while browsing any category with random pictures that rarely catch your attention. Some are even close duplicates, which is unavoidable. I’d compare it to browsing through a pile of randomness only to click on one of five dozen galleries.
