Instead of scripted scenes with carbon copy pornstars, ThisVid has free amateur and homemade videos that tend to be on the kinkier, questionable side. From straight, lesbian, and shemale clips to gay guys, 3D porn, and bizarre videos, there are plenty of “ideas” to draw inspiration from. #2. First Impressions
Expecting ThisVid to feature stunning, hand-picked thumbnails was a mistake, but not one of mine. I haven’t had high expectations either; we presumed it was one of many sites. Here’s a thing, I didn’t do my homework and haven’t realized that ThisVid is mostly about amateur porn; hence my impressions were limited to “disgust” of horrible quality thumbnails. However, it gets better once you realize these are coming from amateurs. Still, maybe there should be a minimum enforced resolution or some quality standards because it ruins a somewhat good look of ThisVid.
I next decided to check the videos menu, where a new problem appeared. Instead of loading or redirecting you to the page, ThisVid makes a tiny row of three squares appear on top. Those link to “last updates,” “top-rated,” and “most popular.” Okay, there’s a private video section, but more about that later. And I couldn’t just load all the videos! It felt limiting and left a bitter taste in my mouth.

As the About section said, ThisVid has over 500,000 videos and 8,000 photo galleries. First and foremost, content ranges from straight to gay, with each section having its categories. For instance, straight categories include BDSM, fetish, shemale poop surprises, while gay categories include gay bareback, bizarre, bear, and male farting. Also, it's worth mentioning that you'll find a sizable private collection of both photos and clips, which is accessible to active, registered users.
Regarding content quality, it varies, but a few thousand HD clips are available, although many of them are private. Other than that, streaming quality is usually adjustable, but there's no way to download clips from ThisVid.com. Finally, freshly cooked amateurs upload new scenes daily; some are bad, and some are good enough for a fancy fap. Also, I sometimes wondered if the gay content were all I would get. We, as guys, can sometimes be too freaky about our junk in the trunk. The thumbnails of exposed dicks were just too much for me, and they didn’t stop at the video section, either. Visiting photos felt the same; my eyes were unintentionally exposed to more cocks in a minute than in the previous nine lives. At least there are safe categories like “upskirt” or “lesbian” that have little to no male genitalia. Even shemale sites are better!
The user interface on ThisVid has all the standard features and a few extras. Visitors can sort content by videos or photos, private or public, regular or extreme, but also have around 30 categories to choose from, besides a few filters. Then, there's the basic and advanced search, which lets you check multiple categories. Visitors may also use features for sharing, adding favorites, rating, and commenting.
